Effective Date: July 17, 2026
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to reservations, deposits, installment payments, and other purchases made for Afrobeats at Sea, operated by AfroWorld Entertainment LLC.
By submitting a payment, the person making the reservation acknowledges and agrees to this policy, along with any additional booking terms presented during checkout.
Presale Deposit Refund Period
Presale deposits are refundable until 14 calendar days after the official cruise ship and sailing details are announced by Afrobeats at Sea.
Guests who request cancellation within this refund period will be eligible to receive a refund of the amount paid, less any clearly disclosed nonrefundable third-party charges, if applicable.
After the 14-day refund period has expired, all deposits and payments become nonrefundable except where otherwise required by law or expressly stated in writing by Afrobeats at Sea.
How to Request a Refund During the Refund Period
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to:
The request should include:
- The primary guest’s full name
- The email address used for the reservation
- The reservation or booking number, if available
- The names of any additional guests included in the reservation
- A clear statement requesting cancellation and a refund
A refund request is considered received on the date it is delivered to the designated email address.
Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds may require approximately 30 to 45 days to process.
Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on the payment processor, financial institution, booking platform, and other third-party providers.
Afrobeats at Sea is not responsible for additional delays caused by a guest’s bank, card issuer, payment processor, or financial institution after a refund has been submitted.
Payments After the Refund Period
Once the applicable refund period has ended:
- Deposits are nonrefundable.
- Installment and monthly payments are nonrefundable.
- Missed, declined, or disputed payments do not automatically cancel a reservation.
- Failure to attend the cruise does not create a right to a refund.
- Removal from the event for violating applicable rules, policies, laws, or safety requirements does not create a right to a refund.
Guests remain responsible for complying with the payment schedule and all booking requirements associated with their reservation.
Payment Plans and Missed Payments
Guests participating in a payment plan authorize payments according to the schedule disclosed during booking.
If a scheduled payment is declined or missed, Afrobeats at Sea or its booking provider may contact the guest and provide an opportunity to bring the account current.
Failure to resolve a delinquent account may result in suspension or cancellation of the reservation. Amounts previously paid may be forfeited and remain nonrefundable, subject to the applicable booking agreement and law.
Reservation Changes and Transfers
Requests to change guest names, cabin occupants, cabin categories, or reservation details are subject to availability, applicable deadlines, administrative fees, cruise-line rules, and the approval of Afrobeats at Sea or its booking provider.
Reservations may not be sold, reassigned, or transferred without prior written approval.
Any permitted transfer or name change may be subject to additional terms and fees. Approval of a transfer does not guarantee that airfare, hotel reservations, insurance, excursions, or other third-party purchases can also be transferred.
Travel Protection
Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance or travel protection that may provide coverage for qualifying events such as illness, injury, emergencies, travel delays, missed connections, job loss, or other covered circumstances.
Travel insurance is offered and administered by independent third parties. Afrobeats at Sea does not guarantee coverage, claim approval, or reimbursement under any insurance policy.
A guest’s decision not to purchase travel protection does not change this Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Changes to Artists, Entertainment, Activities, or Itinerary
Artists, DJs, hosts, speakers, activities, schedules, ports, itineraries, venues, and entertainment are subject to change.
A change in a particular artist, performer, activity, schedule, port, or itinerary does not automatically entitle a guest to cancel or receive a refund, provided the overall Afrobeats at Sea experience is still scheduled to occur.
Cruise-Line or Government Requirements
Guests are responsible for meeting all cruise-line, immigration, identification, health, safety, and governmental requirements applicable to the sailing.
Denial of boarding because a guest lacks proper identification, travel documents, authorization, eligibility, or compliance with applicable rules does not create a right to a refund from Afrobeats at Sea.
Event Cancellation by Afrobeats at Sea
If Afrobeats at Sea cancels the entire event and does not provide a replacement sailing, future credit, rescheduled event, or comparable alternative, guests will be informed of the remedies available based on the circumstances, applicable contracts, amounts recoverable from third parties, and applicable law.
Refunds or credits related to an event cancellation may be subject to funds received or returned by cruise lines, venues, payment processors, booking providers, and other vendors.
Force Majeure and Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Afrobeats at Sea is not responsible for delays, changes, interruptions, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, hurricanes, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, government actions, travel restrictions, labor disputes, transportation disruptions, mechanical issues, acts of war or terrorism, civil unrest, port closures, or decisions made by a cruise line or governmental authority.
Remedies available under these circumstances will be determined based on applicable law, contractual obligations, vendor policies, insurance coverage, and the specific circumstances.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Guests should contact Afrobeats at Sea before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so that concerns can be reviewed and addressed.
Submitting a chargeback does not automatically cancel a reservation or eliminate amounts properly owed under the booking agreement.
Afrobeats at Sea reserves the right to provide booking records, payment authorizations, communications, policy acknowledgments, and other relevant documentation to payment processors and financial institutions when responding to a payment dispute.
Third-Party Purchases
Airfare, hotels, transportation, excursions, travel insurance, and other purchases made directly through third parties are governed by the refund and cancellation policies of those providers.
Afrobeats at Sea is not responsible for refunds of independent third-party purchases unless expressly stated in writing.
Policy Changes
This policy may be updated before bookings officially open or when reasonably necessary to reflect booking arrangements, cruise-line requirements, payment-provider requirements, or changes in applicable law.
The policy presented and accepted at the time of a guest’s transaction will apply to that transaction unless a later change is required by law or is more favorable to the guest.
